Upcoming Patch 3.0.8
by puck on Dec.22, 2008, under WoW, patches, wotlk
as we all have thought, the inevitable class balance patch is coming. call it a nerf, a correction, a balancing if you will, but the result is the affect on the raid, the groups and our classes.
thank you yamakasi for the link: http://www.tardfactor.com/patches/world-of-warcraft-patch-308-raiding-impact#more-116
given the source of that blog post, i would give significant weight to the content. of significance is the 6s cooldowns that has been added as well as dps affects.
the continued use of the HaT bug by rogues is also significant as well as the Frostfire/Mp5 issue facing mages. We all have discussed the paladin dps as well as DK dps issues from the release of wotlk so all of this should be no surprise.
for our part, the raid part, we are not going to be speeding up raiding to advance in content in order to avoid the patch. i think that would make us unprepared for when it does hit. we are already facing a healing class shortfall in the near term given the reduction in holy paladins as well as resto druids. i think the point in the blog post regarding the upswing in resto shaman usage is notable.
expect to see more healers available to 5 mans as the correction hits DKs and Paladins.
